With Elvis gone to Virginia, the Tradewind has looked might lonely. Time for a couple weeks of quality time. First, Myrtle Beach for New Year’s with friends and other Airstreams. The party was at Dave Morrison’s place.
Jerry McConnell has a killer brew made from apple cider, secret spices, and Captain Jack’s rum. It was colder than a well digger’s ass with a cutting wind. Jerry’s antifreeze was a good thing.
New Year’s day included a visit to Ripley’s Aquarium with the Waddell’s. Of course Virginia spotted the only “Harlequin Sweet Lips” fish in the whole aquarium.
We left for Topsail for the Can Opener AIRforums rally on Sunday, January 4th. When overnighting at Laura S. Walker State Park in Georgia, I discovered sunsets over the Okefenokee Swamp can rival some of the best.
Now we’re at Topsail near Destin. By Friday night the park will be slammed packed with Airstreams. I found this little whale tail number in Seaside just east of the park.
